| So I got bored and watched all three episodes so far back to back. I have to say, I enjoy the universe and the relationships between the characters. I really want to see all their personal arcs to play out. (Warning: Spoilers up in this thread, but it's only three episodes so go watch them) - Daenerys Targaryen to adopt a more Queenly persona
- Viserys Targaryen to use horse army to become King
- Arya Stark to learn to fight (I'd like to know where this is going)
- Sansa Stark set up to be Queen eventually
- Also Sansa and Joffrey being used as pawns by each family against the other family
- Bran Stark to come out of amnesia and shake shit up by revealing the Queen is sexing her brother.
I actually think they might keep this a secret, but still use it against them.
- The Royal Crown is backrupt as fuck
- Catelyn and Ned connecting the dots on why someone is trying to kill Bran
- Jon Snow becoming part of the Night's Watch, conflicts with the White Walkers
- Jaime and Cersei Lannister trying to keep their incestual relationship a secret
- King Robert afraid that someone is going to come after him with assassins
- Finding out who killed the previous Hand of the King and why
- Ned Stark becoming Hand of the King
- Robb Stark taking over for his father at their village
- Theon Greyjoy's status as a prisoner of war, feeling loyalty to the Starks, but technically being the Prince of House Greyjoy
- Tyrion Lannister's doing whatever he is doing (no real goal shown yet, but he is a pretty smart character, bound to shake things up, plus the Assassin's dagger was his)
There is seriously not a single one of those that I don't want to watch play out. Plus the cast is rather excellent, a good chunk of them have been in other stuff.

| I've read all the books. Looking forward to the next one come July. I can say that some of what you want to see happen will, but some won't. Also, for those of you that aren't familar with George R.R. Martin, don't get too attached to characters, he kills them off without mercy. | |

Yeah I kind of accepted that, I'm expecting House Targaryen to shake shit up, but not actually become King, or if he does, not very long. It makes me want to read the books though. - Nawkes wrote:

I know, I'm waiting for some goddamn CGI monsters. Plus the dire wolves are pretty cool, but I'd like to see them some more with a few of the others (Like Jon Snow, it'd be awesome to be part of the Night Watch with a Dire Wolf at your side). And I think I read they are supposed to be a reflection of the kids, so it would be kind of nice to have that aspect in there.

| Just a quick question, Is that world IN a sphere? It's probably just nothing, but the opening theme makes it look so.
I almost cried when Lady died. And I do think the Dire Wolves foreshadow what happens to the children. Lady's death with no doubt have some major bearing on Sansa's future role.

Either that, or Lady's death is symbolic, As in Sansa's ties to her family are severed(weakened really) when Lady died and she becomes less trusting of Arya and her father. I think Sansa might end up on Team Lannister.

| I'd encourage you all to read the books. It will answer your questions, and, in some respects, make the show more enjoyable. | |

It would make sense, siding with her House only is going to dick over her chances for being accepted by Joffrey, so she'll either have to play the neutral party (i.e. "I can't remember, everything happened so fast") or full on Team Lannister. On a side note the main cast/some supporting is crazy experienced (imo), compared to a lot of other shows: - Sean Bean (Ned) - LOTR, Troy, Martin Septim's voice, Tons of movies in general
- Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) - Prince Caspian
- Mark Addy (King) - Jack Frost, A Knight's Tale, The Time Machine, Robin Hood
- Lena Headey (Cersei) - 300, plenty of other stuff
- Iain Glen (Jorah) - Kingdom of Heaven, (Was good in Doctor Who too)
- Aidan Gillen (Baelish) - Shanghai Knights, The Wire
- Harry Lloyd (Viserys) - Doctor Who
- Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) - Stargate Atlantis, picked to be the next Conan
- Rory McCann (The Hound) - Hot Fuzz (not really acting though, his only lines were "Yarp" and "Narp")
- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime) - Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven
- Roger Allam (Magister Illyrio) - The Wind That Shakes the Barley, The Queen, V for Vendetta, Speed Racer

I think I'll read the books along with the seasons, since I read that each season is going to follow a book's worth of events. I could watch each season and read the book for that season in the downtime.

| Updating my thread, cause I'm a boss. Changes in brown. - Daenerys Targaryen to adopt a more Queenly persona
Full on gives Viserys the buisness
- Viserys Targaryen to use horse army to become King
Looking like a no, looks like Daenerys isn't going to help him, and Drogo hasn't shown much interest (and apparently going the wrong way, nor would his people wish to cross the sea). Plus Viserys seems to believe in the whole thing as a gigantic myth of the populace actually wanting House Targaryan back.
- Arya Stark to learn to fight
- Also Sansa and Joffrey being used as pawns by each family against the other family
Seem to be fighting, does not bode well for their future together
- Bran Stark to come out of amnesia and shake shit up by revealing the Queen is sexing her brother
- The Royal Crown is backrupt as fuck
- Catelyn and Ned connecting the dots on why someone is trying to kill Bran
Catelyn arresting Tyrion with everyone in the inn as a member of house Tully
- Jon Snow becoming part of the Night's Watch, conflicts with the White Walkers
He's going to graduate soon, or whatever. Going to go on missions and shit.
- Jaime and Cersei Lannister trying to keep their incestual relationship a secret
- King Robert afraid that someone is going to come after him with assassins
- Finding out who killed the previous Hand of the King and why
He got that book (missed what it was)
- Robb Stark taking over for his father at their village
Does not seem to have that lordly manner about him (being a dick to Tyrion now that mommy and daddy are away), but is still running the show
- Theon Greyjoy's status as a prisoner of war, feeling loyalty to the Starks, but technically being the Prince of House Greyjoy
- Baelish being a creeper with the Starks

| Once again updating cause people are watching it, and I'm fascinated with the stories. Changes in green. - Daenerys Targaryen to adopt a more Queenly persona
- Viserys Targaryen to use horse army to become King
With Daenerys pregnant, the thought of this happening seems to scare the crap out of Robert, pushing him to seemingly contradictory lengths to prevent this.
- Arya Stark to learn to fight
- Also Sansa and Joffrey being used as pawns by each family against the other family
- Bran Stark being groomed for his future, still seems excited about the possibility of becoming a horse archer-dude
- Catelyn and Ned connecting the dots on why someone is trying to kill Bran
Well shit, Tyrion is now the prisoner of the Tully's?, under the watch of a rather spoiled Child-King. Things have seemed to go downhill, Jaime brings troops to meet Ned Stark, kills his men, and leaves him wounded via a spear through the length of his thigh.
- Jon Snow becoming part of the Night's Watch, conflicts with the White Walkers
- Finding out who killed the previous Hand of the King and why
Thanks to the eunuch-spider, we now know that he was killed because he was asking questions.
- Robb Stark taking over for his father at their village
- Theon Greyjoy's status as a prisoner of war, feeling loyalty to the Starks, but technically being the Prince of House Greyjoy
- Baelish being a creeper with the Starks
So I'm thinking: That Knight of the Flowers guy is pushing the guy from the King's house to want to be King, which I suppose they wouldn't have brought up without intentionally raising the question of just how long Robert's rule will last. Also what the hell was he wearing as a helmet? I couldn't really tell. Also: nice job with the mare in heat. I have this sneaking suspicion that Baelish was responsible for dicking over Ned Stark, but maybe it was just supposed to look like that. I can't help but think that Ned would have been fine it would seem had he have left earlier like he wanted. That duel with Jaime wasn't bad. DAT JOUSTING! I was generally shocked when The Mountain gets pissed and decapitated his horse, and when his brother took up his sword, but I guess since the last episode, that kind of makes sense. He wasn't doing too bad either.

| Once again updating cause people are watching it, and I'm fascinated with the stories. Changes in olive. - Daenerys Targaryen to adopt a more "Queenly" persona
Viserys Targaryen to use horse army to become King Haha he was crowned, but he'll never be King.
- Arya Stark to learn to fight
- Also Sansa and Joffrey being used as pawns by each family against the other family
Well they've made up now, and it seems like Sansa has fallen head over heels, and now wants to be a Lannister
- Bran Stark being groomed for his future, still seems excited about the possibility of becoming a horse archer-dude.
- Lannister vs. Starks
- The imprisonment issue seems to have been dealt with thanks to the duel between Bronn and that other dude, Tyrion gets to go home, and there is going to be some shit going down. - Things have seemed to go downhill, Jaime brings troops to meet Ned Stark, kills his men, and leaves him wounded via a spear through the length of his thigh. - Now it seems that the Mountain is responsible for attacking villages in the lands of House Tully, Ned responds as the Hand in a manner that may be a bit too far, stripping the Mountain of everything, sending 100 men after him, and ordering Tywin Lannister to show up to answer for the crimes of his bannerman.
- Jon Snow becoming part of the Night's Watch, conflicts with the White Walkers
- Finding out who killed the previous Hand of the King and why
Thanks to the eunuch-spider, we now know that he was killed because he was asking questions. Now we've figured it out, all three Baratheon-Lannister children are actually just Lannisters thanks to incest. All of the Baratheon children and bastards have black hair, while the Lannisters have blonde. Thanks to the idea that Black hair is genetically dominant (and I've heard all the prostitutes had blonde hair too, I didn't pay attention to this), this means that this is a huge issue.
- Robb Stark taking over for his father at their village
- Theon Greyjoy's status as a prisoner of war, feeling loyalty to the Starks, but technically being the Prince of House Greyjoy
- Baelish being a creeper with the Starks
