Does anyone here happen to watch, or has watched, the show? I know the show isn't 100% accurate (but what show is) and they leave out details (but what show doesn't) that could alter their end result. But, all in all, I find the show to be quite interesting and can't wait for season #3.

Season #3 starts sometime this summer, with a new host. The host of the show Future Weapons. Season #3s lineup is as follows:

1. Vampires v. Zombies
2. Joan of Arc v. William the Conqueror
3. Saddam Hussein v. Pol Pot
4. Hannibal v. Genghis Khan
5. U.S. Army Rangers v. North Korean SpecOp Force
6. Crazy Horse v. Pancho Villa
7. Ivan the Terrible v. Hernan Cortes
8. French Foreign Legion v. Gurkhas
9. George Washington v. Napolean Bonaparte

Who I'm rooting for:

1. Rooting for Vampires
2. Rooting for Joan of Arc (women rule!)
3. Rooting for Pol Pot
4. Rooting for Genghis Khan
5. Rooting for U.S. Army Rangers
6. Rooting for Crazy Horse
7. Rooting for Hernan Cortes
8. Rooting for Gurkhas (like the name)
9. Rooting for George Washington (of course)

It's a moderately good show, but they have a tendency to make some fairly retarded match ups.

Like Rangers vs. the North Koreans. Isn't even remotely fair.

I agree. Some of their match ups are absurd. The most absurd one(s), in my opinion; being Vlad the Impaler v. Sun Tzu (my #1), Spartan v. Ninja (my #2) and Pirate v. Knight (my #3). The reason Vlad the Impaler v. Sun Tzu is my #1 is because Vlad fought on the field of battle, whereas Sun Tzu did not. A warrior versus a strategist is silly.

Actually...the North Korean SpecOps Force fought during the Korean War, just like the U.S. Rangers (probably the scenario they will be highlighting in Deadliest Warrior). It was pretty even, believe it or not - hence (one reason) why Korea is still divided. Today the U.S. Rangers WOULD (most likely) defeat them, but during the Korean War, it was a stalemate more or less.

Yea.

I always thought that the Samurai vs. Viking was possibly the worst match up ever, wasn't even remotely fair for the Viking.

And if it's Korean War Era for the Rangers, then it'd be more even. I was thinking it was modern day Rangers.

The Hannibal v. Genghis Khan matching is pretty neat, same with George Washington v. Napolean. (Joan of Arc v. William the Conqueror isn't bad either). Hannibal will probably defeat Khan (being one of, if not the, greatest military general in the world) and Washington will probably defeat Napolean (Deadliest Warrior has a bit of USA bias).

Season #3 probably has the best pairings to date.

I dunno. I think Genghis Khan will beat Hannibal, I mean the guy did conquer almost all of Eurasia.

He also caused the deaths of over 40 million people.

True, but Hannibal specialized in any and all formations (i.e. anti-calvary) and 'dissecting' (learning inside and out about) his opponent. Hannibal also used elephant units instead of standard calvary. All Genghis Khan used was calvary pretty much. Genghis Khan also relied on - and succeeded with - numbers.

Deadliest Warrior doesn't do numbers all that well.

WTB Jedi v. [insert contender here] fantasy battle. Would make just as much sense as Vampire v. Zombie.

I use to watch it a while ago... didn't know it was still on. Was pretty good, but yeah... the situations are a little far fetched and forced.

This season of Deadliest Warrior - to be honest - the best, and most realistic season, yet. The host of Future Weapons being the NEW main host has changed the show - and for the (far) better.

1. George Washington won against Napoleon.
2. Joan of Arc won against William the Conqueror.

I used to watch it, but there is always one thing I disliked about the show and it is that they don't take into account the True factors in a fight like skill/experience/etc, they mostly take their armor/weapons.
