1.

1000 posts, bitches.

2.

My graphics card meets all the minimum requirements, it just isn't Nvidia or GeForce. Should I go buy Skyrim to see if it'll work, which I think it will because my friend said he got put in the same position and it runs fine on his computer, or should I not? And if I do and it doesn't work, could I take it back?

1. Grats cheers
2. You can try. If it isn't n-vidia it is probably an ATI card. You can try at least. Try to test it on this website. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

If you give me your system specs i am willing to do some research on what you can upgrade about your machine if you give me a price for eventual upgrades for it.

Yes, it's fine if it's not Nvidia/ATI. The only reason they put those on there is because Nvidia paid them to put it on there. As long as you meet the spec requirements, you're fine. May want to go to Here to make sure.

if it isnt nVidia, it's bound to be AMD. AMD cards are fine, damn near exact copies of nVidia cards. The only thing that separates nVidia and AMD cards are the physX things nVidia has. It's a minor, minor difference.

Ah well. I'm going back to nVidia m'self. Dunno why. Just a whim.

And cyri will give you a rough estimate of the game you're looking to play. It'll be accurate enough to say "YES, I CAN PLAY THIS GAME!" but if it says your specs max out their little green bargraph, *do not* think you can play the game on its highest settings. It isn't that accurate.

Enjoy! Very Happy

*deprived of Skyrim and SR3 til he's sorted out*

*Doesn't wanna put his current rig back together*

In Skyrim? Use the mouse wheel to zoom into first person. If you don't have a mouse wheel, then may God have mercy on your soul.
