| - Goodfellas
- Pulp Fiction
- Silence of the Lambs
- Se7en
- Leon: The Professional
- American History X
- American Beauty
- Saving Private Ryan
- Spirited Away
- The Departed
- Back to the Future
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- Reservoir Dogs
- The Prestige
- The Illusionist
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Downfall (It might be weird to watch a film with Hitler as the main character, but it's well done. Makes him more human, not in a good way, but it makes him less of a boogeyman in the back of everyone's mind)
- There Will Be Blood (I dare you to make sense of this movie on the first try)
- No Country for Old Men
There's probably more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Antichrist Citizen Kane
If Antichrist is a tad too hardcore, Melancholia is a decent alternative. Lars von Trier is on his own level, but this has less graphic what-the-fuckery vagina scissors cutting and actual penetration. It's up on Netflix too. And as much as I agree that Citizen Kane had a huge impact on cinema itself, the only issue is that modern audiences have already seen all the shots that made Citizen Kane famous. Plus the plot might bug a few people. It's not for everyone.

And fucking Akira. Even though Akira is an anime film, it's completely ridiculous; loved by anime fans and non-anime fans alike. Everyone else pretty much suggested what I may have suggested, so...

You do realize that is one most critically acclaimed movie of all time, right? What do you know about good films?
I recommend watching Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy. Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and The Good, Bad, and the Ugly. Critics opinions are worth shit when it comes to personal taste. I love movies that are hated by a lot of people, and dislike movies that are critically acclaimed.

I've seen them... and I know that Citizen Kane is a critically acclaimed movie. I know lots about good films... I also know that they're meant to entertain me. Citizen Kane was a waste on my education... and hours of my life.

I'm not. It's the summer and I has no life. I've seen a lot of those, but I haven't seen quite a few as well. The Godfather Trilogy is a big one that I haven't seen.
