Well fuck

This morning I was eating cereal and my cat came up to try to drink the milk. I jerked the bowl away, spilling milk on my keyboard in the process. I cleaned it off with a paper towel and it was fine for about 20 minutes before the keys would type the wrong letters or wouldn't work. I restarted it, but it made loud beeping sounds and wouldn't start up. I shut it off, removed the battery, put it back in, and the same thing happened. I then used a vaccum on the keyboard and that worked pretty well and got a lot of the milk out. I put paper towels on the computer keyboard, shut it, and turned it off. I turned it back on a few hours later and to my surprise it worked, though it's slow to start up and still beeps. The keyboard didn't work so I went out and bought a new wired keyboard. The wired one works, but the normal keyboard types shit in all the time like "ffffffff" or "55555ffffff6565" which makes it impossible to use. Since the f key was a major problem, I took the key off and cleaned under it, but it didn't help at all and now I can't get the f key back on.

Is there anything I can do at this point to make my computer not type "fffffffffffff55555" and stuff?

I couldn't find a pic for this.. but... please don't feed the laptops.

Next time you spill any sort of liquid on a keyboard: Get a big-ass bag. Fill it with enough otherwise-wasted plain, dry rice. Toss said keyboard into bag.

So far only the r key is causing issue

Pop off the key, get a qtip. Replace the key.
