So once we get rid of man's ultimate killer... then what do we do... live forever?

Don't deny it, Scott: it would be nice if cancer was completed gone from the world. But...in some ways...I doubt it will happen anytime soon, because, and I didn't know this until recently, the Bubonic Plague is still around and some people still get it.

I wasn't saying it wasn't... but one lived freely of all diseases... cancer is still inevitable because it's not a disease... it's a process of life (we are always exposed to some form or radiation)... it's what shuts down organs when we get old. Again... not saying it's something we shouldn't find a 'cure' for... just that it's a natural process of life and the large determining factor of human longevity.

But the plague is kind of easily fixed now.

As for Cancer...Good luck. "Cancer" is just a mix of around 200 different kinds of fuck ups waiting to happen. There's not gonna be a blanket cure that works for all of them.

Cybernetic parts. BAM! And I'm talking about some Deus Ex cybernetic parts.

I'd love some Deus Ex cybernetic enhancements and parts, or nanotechnology.

I'd like it if I weren't required to take some magical miracle drug that was insanely expensive to keep my body from violently rejecting the implants.

I don't know if that would even happen, to be honest. I mean... We have basic (even some moderate) cybernetic enhancements today, and no drugs are needed. But maybe that's because they can be removed, and, they need to be replaced from time-to-time--whereas the cybernetics in Deus Ex are pretty much permanent.

Nanotechnology would resolve all of that though, because, again, in the Deus Ex universe, nanotechnology was created because it has zero side effects like cybernetics (and it's better, faster, stronger).
