Magic, big Armor and Swords.
But yeah, we need to take the fight to the lawless.
I'm giddy.

I don't see how you join the lawless, you can't find their outposts and they kill you on sight so you don't even get a chance to reason with them.

There is a code among murderers,
I've been one in enough sandbox MMOs to know it.
Prove yourself, make them fear you, get your reputation out.
They shall cower like Beta Males.

When you get 1 shot, by I guess...thier leader or a high ranking one it's hard to earn respect. Really, he will trample you with his horse knocking you down from nowhere, then slice your head right off which = instant kill manuever. He hit me for 601 damage today, I only have 67 health so far. Do the math. Razz

You better hope GoonSwarm doesn't join Mortal Online.
They have over 15,000 members of self proclaimed greifers.

I have no fear of griefers I had to deal with them in Star Wars Galaxies, people got tired of them and burnt down their city and pushed them out of the game. The mechanics of Mortal allow the same process to take place, unlike EVE which is damn impossiable to do such a feat.

Heck, GoonSwarm is in SWG Emu, I see them around and they actually like me and don't bother me what so ever.

GoonSwarm won't kill you if you're an overall funny guy.
They're entire heirarchy is based on who is the funniest.
One of my alts was part of JihadSwarm, one of GoonSwarm's daughter corps.
Remember this though, GoonSwarm's philosophy and mission statement is to break YOUR game.
Besidess life just isn't the same without killing Goons, and killing with them.

I recoken it's because people hated me in MMO's because I was an AoE spammer and could 3-4 shot 12 people with my double-sided saber in Star Wars Galaxies. Heck, I plan to spam AoE in The Old Republic as well, if it works I see no reason why not to use it. I also hardly ever talk in MMO's I just do my own thang.

I guess me being semi-funny is a factor to, but who knows. I don't try and understand the thought process of griefers.

Technically I'm a greifer.
I was a pirate in EVE.

It's fun to be hated and feared.
At least for me it is.
Can you tell me a few things about Mortal Online?
How does the higher up armor and gear look?
Seige Engines?
Pew pew laezerz?
Other mounts besides horses?
Magic types?
Gunpowder weapons?

The higher armor looks amazing, heck the low-mid armor looks pretty great to once you get rid of your starter rags. Siege Engines are in the game, however, I have not seen a siege take place so far since I only started yesturday. Pew pew laezerz are a no go. There are other mounts, don't know what they are, but yes. You can tame any animal in Mortal though only some are mountable. Magic types are, fire, water, earth, air + others like mind, life and death. There are NO gunpowder weapons in the game thus far, however, they may add them later.

As I said, life type magic would most likely apply to priest + paladin, and nature (most likely in the game) applys to druids. So, I would say yes. A BIG update is coming soon to the beta which is going to add ALOT more then the game has now, and the game already has alot. Gotta wait and see what it brings.

Yes!
Druids were the only thing I liked about WoW!
I'm totally making a Druid/Shaman mayber with some Armored Warrior thrown in.

Are the magic effects cool?

I think so, however, magic is one of the things that needs polish and is getting it this coming massive update. The damage output on magic right now is bugged. Some spells suck entirely and do absolutely nothing to enemies, while others can one shot the planet if you tried hard enough.

Is life like Druidism or Paladin/Priest Based?

Too lazy.

This is absolutly amazing.
Look at this video.

In about the middle of the video I see the perfect spot to build a hidden city, kinda like the Na'Vi's city in Avatar.

Indeed, the game is amazing. Once Epic Game's releases the final, tuned product and you learn the learning curve the game has I can forsee it being a rather successful sandbox MMO.

There are in-game weather effects yes, often, not to sure still learning the weather cycle. I also believe it has a realistic day/night cycle, real 24 hours. Long days, long nights you know, that kinda stuff.

There are in-game weather effects yes, often, not to sure still learning the weather cycle. I also believe it has a realistic night/day cycle it runs on a 24 hour clock so it stays dark long and light long.

I'm excited.
DAMN YOU BARTH FOR GETTING MY HOPES UP!
The exploration sounds amazing.
Hell, I would be content forming a trade caravan and just exploring.
Very Happy

Same, if the lawless were not such asshats...

As I said though, the game needs polish and Epic Game's knows this. If they release a buggy product the game will bomb quickly, however, if they release a finished product with thee occasional expected bug all will go well I forsee. I hope it's released August of this year basically bug free.

I hope so too.
By the looks of it so far, it needs 2 or 3 months of fixing, so I expect it to be out by July or maybe June.
I hope so anyway.

If you get far enough away from the major cities, you'll probably stop encountering them as much.
I suggest we build our town in a very remote jungle like in the video I showed you.
From there, we can stage our attacks on the lawless and protect merchants.
